Southdowns Manor Wedding with Ellie and Ashley

Yesterday’s cracking wedding went down at Southdowns Manor in Petersfield with Ellie and Ashley. https://www.southdownsmanor.co.uk/ Incredible weather started the day off and on arrival it was apparent that this was gonna be a hot one! It was warm, it was only 10:30! Ellie and the girls were up in the hotel getting hair and make up done, Anna Hardiment was the MUA today and you can find her on Insta ‘@annahardimentmua’. The flowers arrived and the most amazing wedding dress hung beautifully. The flowers were a wonderful tone to match the bridesmaids dresses. There was a buzz of excitement in the air and you could feel it as soon as you entered the room. Flowers today were by the amazing Wild Flower Studio (you can find them on ista @wildflowerstudio1) or www.wildflowerstudioflourists.co.uk The video guy today is Jack, SB_wedding videos and you can see his work on Insta or at www.somethingborrowed-films.com Highly recommended, he’s funny, calm and professional.   I’ve known Ellie for years now, she is a horse mad nut, and her dad made a great joke about it in the speeches later in the day. She’s a little firecracker and was looking amazing. The bridesmaids were popping corks […]

Eleanor & Ash Highley Manor Wedding

This features wedding was a special one, Eleanor & Ash tied the knot at Highley Manor in Sussex. I’ve known the couple for many years. Ash is a long time friend and I knew him growing up. He’s married someone amazing too, Eleanor is one of those girls who has an abundance of happy energy and is a blast to be around. They really do bounce off each other, what a fab couple. Highley Manor has been through some changes of recent. It’s quite the venue now. With it’s airy spacious cottage for Brides to get prepaired, through to the beautiful grand entrance and banqueting hall. The couple decided on some quite amazing decoration to compliment this. Eleanor was so excited whilst getting ready. Her bridesmaids had everything under control. Waiting for me were the hanging dress, flowers, jewellery and wedding shoes. Snap snap snap and I moved onto the applications of hair and make up. Followed was the dress and voila, Eleanor was transformed into a princess. The boys arrived and I captured some final preps for them. Button holes were popped on and Ash stood at the front of the isle nervously waiting. With many guests and family […]

Weller Wedding at The Crowne Plaza Hotel Felbridge

A long time coming, the Weller Wedding at The Crowne Plaza Hotel Felbridge, here we go… Crowne Plaza Felbridge Neil & Leanne came to me back in 2018 regarding their original wedding date for 2020. The pandemic hit and everything went out the window so to speak. Poor things put their wedding off twice and thrid time lucky it went without a hitch! ‘Nelly’ as many know Neil, is a long time family friend of mine. As children we grew up across the road from each other. We’d play in the street and help each other when we needed it. Like a family member. Neil is a fantastic lad, a gentleman with his heart on his sleeve. He’d do anything for you, and Leanne struck gold with him. They now have 2 fantastic children and you can sense the family love straight away. As soon as Neil was brave enough to ask Leanne to marry him I always hoped he’d ask me to photograph his wedding. Sure enough, he did and I must say what an honour it was.   The day started with Leanne’s preperation photography. On arrival to the Felbridge Hotel, now known as the Crowne Plaza, it […]

New Year Wedding at The Barn

This was my first wedding of 2022, which took place @TheBarn. An award winning venue, it was very beautiful. Set in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, with it’s own little private courtyard. It was touch and go for some time throughout the Christmas period leading up to new year. Abby & Stu were on tender hooks, as the Prime Minister laid out the restrictions for large group gatherings and what would be allowed regarding the pandemic. With the new Covid variant nobody could predict the new year. I think it’s fair to say, not even Omnicom couldn’t stop them! So the day began a little damp and the theme was set for the day so it seemed, with light drizzle forcast for the entire day. Hey, it’s January after all, and the UK is always a little unpredicable for it’s weather. This wasn’t going to slow these two down. Stu and the groomsman waited at the venue for Abby’s arrival. She was going to keep the groom waiting! Best things come to those who wait Stu. I’ve known the groom for a number of years, we worked together as students at a local hotel, he’s one of those chaps […]

Post Lockdown Wedding at East Court

This is my second post lockdown wedding. East Court in East Grinstead was the venue. Today’s wedding was for an old school friend Richard Kinver. I’ve socialised, worked alongside and been a guest at his restaurant. He’s is a chef. A bloody good one too. He currently runs the kitchen at The Star in Lingfield. The day started damp and dark, but I wasn’t worried. I normally bring the sun with me and this was no different! Photography is finally begining to take off again. Since the Covid lockdown in the UK, events such as weddings have been greatly effected. Guest numbers are still very low. My first wedding last week had just 14 guests. This wedding conformed to the latest government guideline numbers of below 30. Obviously all the usual precautions were in place. At East Court in East Grinstead, they check every guests temperature prior to entering. Hand sanitiser was readily avaliable and used in abundance. However before we got to the ceremony, there were bridal preperations to be covered. On entering the home, everyone was so happy. Kasia was having her make up applied and the dress was hanging. Flowers were sitting in water ready for the […]

Reigate Manor Wedding

Reigate Manor weddings…what can I say. A lovely manor house sitting over the road from Reigate View Point, simply amazing. The Bridal preparations today started in Zoe’s auntie and uncles place in North Holmwood. Such a welcoming bunch and I knew this was going to be a great day of celebrations. The bridal preps started at 11am and the heat was creeping up. I was feeling so hot already in the blazing morning sun. Although tomorrow is set to be even hotter! Zoe and the bridesmaids looked amazing, a beautiful white dress and blue bridesmaides dresses with flower girls Chloe and Lexi and a page boy Tommy. All went smoothly and I left the bride and family taking photos and selfies to head to the church. I was the first there, couldn’t believe it. North Holmwood Church was a grand old place, with dimmly lit arches. I had to stay at the back, which some Priests and Vicars insist. Cona (the groom) arrived with the guys and we got underway capturing some of the preps for the chaps. He’s 6’8″… and built. His brother Preston is similar height, and Dave the 2nd Bestman was again taller than me. But at […]

Balcombe Place Sussex

Barney Warner Photography were asked to attend a styled photo shoot one afternoon at the currently renovating Balcombe Place Sussex, on the Balcombe Estate. It was to produce a showcase of a specific room of Balcombe Place. This was extra special as the following contribultors were present working buckets of magic within their specific industries. @inspiredbysusieevans brought the planning and collaboration along with ideas and creative direction. http://www.tigerstolilies.co.uk/ brought some truely beautiful flower arrangements for the table centre pieces. http://www.co-ordination.net/ were present with their amazing room hire furniture and table linen. http://fourgablesgroup.com/ produced some absolutley amazing food that was all hand created and form to showcase really what is possible for your ultimate event hunger issues. Balcombe Place Sussex is such a beautiful building, constructed back in the 1800s, now currently being renovated into a luxury venue perfect for those BIG celebrations. Speaking BIG, the entrance door has to be the largest, heavest door I’ve ever opened. There are many rooms, the entrance hall has a hugh fireplace, but the room in particular that we were working in was ‘The Music Room’, which houses a very old Music Organ, currently not in use but it certainly adds to the very grand feel you […]

Photographing Weddings at Ghyll Manor

Photographing Weddings at Ghyll Manor with Claire and Dean to show their big day wedding highlights. Slideshow created as a gift to the couple after their big day as a thank you for choosing Barney Warner Photography to be the offical wedding photographers. The wedding was entirely at Ghyll Manor in Rusper, West Sussex.   Barney’s known Dean since a child, his brother was good mates with Dean back at school, so he was really happy to see the family. Claire was also at school with Barney, so straight away everyone was put at ease. Laughter and fun was in such abundance throughout the day and the atmosphere was so easy going. So Photographing Weddings at Ghyll Manor, especially with Claire and Dean was a real pleasure. Claire got ready in the Ghyll Cottage, ajoined to the Manor. There’s lot’s of space and comfortable furnishings. It’s really old so the ceilings are quite low with beautiful wooden beams running through them. Dean was not aware, that Claire had a little suprise for him in store. He’s a mechanic, and a fond lover of cars. So what arrived to take him through the winding countryside to the wedidng venue, was a […]

Wedding photography Surrey with Mr&Mrs Martin-Jones

Wow what a day spent at a Surrey National Golf Wedding!! Lovely and warm, the sun shone all day long. Wedding photography commenced at their home address in Surrey with bridal preps, a lovely house with great decoration really helped me out with finding decent backgrounds. The girls were putting away some fizz in the kitchen which quickly slowed down once they’d realised none of them had yet to have breakfast!! A rookie mistake. With the preps covered it was a quick drive to the ceremony address. The nervous groom waited at the top of the isle for the beautiful bride, he waited a little longer due to traffic but was worth it as she beemed down the isle following his footsteps. The ceremony was held at the Leatherhead registry office with the reception afterwards at the Surrey National golf club. We had some amazing fun blasting round the 18th hole on the buggies and the bride had a good laugh pushing the buggie with Luke driving. (Images to follow…) Everyone loved the time to spend with each other socialising and celebrating the newley weds. Cake and first dance followed and they were left partying hard on the dance floor.
