Barney's quick Bio

Not one for a selfie, but here's my best side!

I've a solid career in professional advertising photography. Having photographed at some of the countries leading studios, travelling the world photographing literally everything.

Starting out in the world of car advertising and working in London's biggest car studios, fast forward to the current day. I've been lucky to work with many Blue Chip companies in the last 20 years which include Costa Coffee, Facebook, IKEA, Dualit, Unilever UK, Suzuki GB, BMW, KIA, Honda, Gatwick Airport, Instagram, The Economist, Tom's Kitchen, Retroford, Scartissue Clothing, Sports Direct and Vision Express.

I’ve photographed everything, from the Prime Minister to Royal Family members, cars & motorbikes, food, fashion, product and everything in-between. With work featured worldwide, across many media platforms, websites, magazines, billboards, buses & lorries, bus stops, and national press.

Commercial photography:

Commissions; I try to be as approachable and friendly as possible, yet retaining a professional presence and being a bit of a 'social chameleon'. I know when to switch it on and when it's not appropriate. That's one of the most important parts of my skill set, apart from of course the technical ability to create what the client requires and being able to twist to any particular demands.

Social Photography:

Weddings and portraits are of course a big part of everyones lives, myself too... having photographed my first ever wedding at the age of 19, (on 35mm film) is a scary experience for anyone with so much pressure... but from this point I also had the bug for wedding photography.

My wedding photography social style is unobtrusive and friendly. When I attend weddings and social events I like to feature REAL moments and show the day how it was. So much so, I rarely need to get too involved (which I find is the best way). I use the latest equipment and techniques. If you're after a styled approach or a natural 'off the wall' look, I can cater for all.

Based on the Surrey/West Sussex border, I am often found further afield, (being a Crawley Photographer doesn't mean I just stay in Crawley), I love to travel. Having photographed weddings all over the world there is no place too far or intimate event too small.

Please have a look at the galleries as I strongly believe the pictures do the talking.
