Event Photographer Sussex Surrey

Sometimes being an Event Photographer Sussex Surrey brings various challenges. Being able to blend in and capture those candid moments can be tricky. Different tricks can be employed to be able to get those moments but I’m not sharing ha ha. To stage up some groups and people having fun is an important part of event photography. You need the ability to be able to change personalitly quickly to encourage people. I know we all hate having photos taken, we all like to look our best. But to capture natural shots or sometimes staged but natural looking ones are key. Part of this shoot was not only the candid reportage approach, but also formal groups. Award ceremony presentation photography and also a formal set up with a photo booth and props. I bring with me a whole host of equipment and props to my events. Photo booths are becoming a regular thing at corporate events. It allows people to get a little silly, relax and this also helps break the ice at staff parties and events. Event Photographer Sussex Surrey Barney Warner captures people enjoying each others company whilst retaining a professional manner and etiquette. Awards are somethimes required to […]

Motorbike Photographer in Surrey and Sussex

To be a Motorbike Photographer in Surrey and Sussex, you need to have some interest in them. I do.   Since the age of 16 I have been into motorbikes, all my friends at that age had scooters or other trials style 50cc bikes, it was a phase we went through. But with all this, I had the bug. My first bike was a 50cc monkey bike style Honda ST50 DAX, it was chrome in it’s styling with a bike headlight. It looked like a miniture 900cc rocker’s bike. I loved it. So natty and unique, I don’t know how my father found it, but I’m forever thankful that he did. I remeber it wasn’t cheap for a first bike, it wasn’t brand new, but was a mint example. Everyone knew it was me coming down the road, a real head turner! My second bike was a trials style bike, a Suzuki TS50, with a cheeky big bore kit. I knew it had one the second I rode it. I was so excited, having never ridden a fully manual motorbike. I nearly fell off straight away. It was a gravel drive at the previous owners, with my short legs and […]

Corporate Event Photography

Work Christmas parties, some love them, some don’t. I personally love Corporate Event Photography. Corporate Event Photography is one of my favourite things to cover. I get to mingle with happy people having a good time, what’s not to like? So this Corporate Event Photography featured Lingfield Park racecourse. This was an Alice In Wonderland themed event. Every year they change the theme which I think is really cool. They go to town on the decoration. It pays off. Last year the theme was Narnia, again, amazing! So I was tasked with arriving early to capture the payout before the staff entered the room and got to grips with the drinks! The usual challenge I find is allowing the smoke machine to do its job. But it takes forever. Smoke machines really help the overal look. Creating a more atmospheric feel. DJ lights beaming through the smoke and dark corners, along with projected imagery and table decoration is amazing. But even better (here comes the big kid in me), was the car computer simulatiors! Wow what a great event. There were weird creatures on toadstools, christmas trees covered in snow, giant bottles of drink, clocks and other imagery on screens. This […]

360 spin Photography

360 spin Photography it’s nothing new… With e-Commerce forever growing! Retailers are always looking to improve and create new ways to view products. For the potential buyer it really gets them excited. As I say, 360 spin Photography is not new. However there are now further advances and better ways of these working. Barney Warner Photography is now offering exsisting clients and new clients fully interactive 360 product spin photography. Upload these straight to your website for the wow factor. Below is just a test. For me to show you the potential and this really is just a rough draft. I’ll update this with another newer version. A more polished look. Have a play with the examples. Scale it up using the arrows. You can spin and pause it at your own pace. Seeing more detail and focus on exciting parts of the product. To allow the user a better experience. To entice to buy. There are even further advances with 3D spins. But we’ll come onto this further […]

Food photography in Sussex

Food photography in Sussex, Food photography in Sussex, not the most descriptive of headers, I know. But it does what it says on the tin. One of the commisions last month took me to the wonderful golf club of Ashdown Forest. Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club… With the grand name of ‘Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club’, the course had a lot to live up to. However, as I play in a society, I visit a lot of golf courses. This has got to be one of the best, (if not the best), in the South East.I was that impressed. With 2 courses, The West Course and The Old Course, a fab pro shop, and an extremely well stocked bar and restaurant it’s top of my list!  I personally perfer the West Course. The Old Course has a better reputation but that’s my opinion. Perhaps I simply had a better game?   Anyway, back to the photography… (love golf sorry) This commision, allowed me to venture up to the restaurant. The club house manager requested food photography update. To push on social media and their website. It’s a great ideal to keep on top of food photography. Something like food changes […]

Website headshot photography

People like to deal with people, that’s a given. This brings a lot of importance to website headshot photography, the fact is that we like to see the very best in people. Nobody likes a bad headshot do they?! I personally hate having my photograph taken, perhaps thats why I try to ensure every person I ever photograph feel as relaxed as possible. Maybe that’s also why I feel so uncomfortabe in front of the camera… that the photographer doesn’t have the ability to relax me?! This is why I always get the best out of people when they are photographed, the key is to get the sitters guard down, to relax them, to exude the very essence of their characteristics. Sometimes my clients like to have a make up artisit present. I can understand, but with the magic of photoshop sometimes it’s just as easy to completely airbrush somebody. With all my headshots, I supply free airbrushing, so there’s no need to feel uncomfortable, you can sit knowing all those shaving cuts will have dissapeared before you see the final result. Websites have team photography as well as indiviual head shots. It’s great having an overal team shot on […]

Photography in Brighton covered for Hixon Green

Photography in Brighton covered for Hixon Green by Barney Warner Photography. Prior to the grand opening back in October. The commision was to capture imagery for not only their new website, but also for social media content too. With Social media being a massive part of all industries nowadays, people are becoming more and more submersed into the wide world of social media. The need for great photography is becoming more common for social content and we seem to be getting more and more companies requesting this type of photography. Typically, social media is one of the fundimental aspects a new company look to employ. With smart technology and access to all the social sites, it’s an obvious reason to get the very best imagery to support your business. Even if it’s a long standing company, they too are approaching us for more and more imagery. Being well rehearsed with food photography, interior photography, photographing people and also photographing exteriors, we felt extremely comfortable at Hixon Green, especially as it really lent itself well to being photographed. The trick though is making the imagery look as natural as possible yet creating a look that is clean and crisp with a […]

Headshots Sussex … on a Dairy Farm

Headshots Sussex … on a Dairy Farm. Doesn’t sound right does it. However, professional headshots are very in vouge at present, rightly so! However I’ve never been asked to attend a farm yard to capture a dairy farmer headshot before. Today was a first. I LOVE MILK. Upon arrival I experienced mud to new heights. My wellies fell over and the slurry slurpped up my body into my face. I hadn’t even looked the car! Not a great look I can assure you. After mopping myself down, I wandered through the farmyard to find my portrait sitter. She was voted to be Britains sexiest farmer 2013 I’ll have you know. Kate was to appear in a newsletter called ‘Milkmatters’, on behalf of the dairy company Arla. They were featuring the farm and their cattle.  She needed some headshots taken on her dairy farm. I LOVE MILKSHAKES. Our first stop was into a muddy field with heards of young Heifer were held. See I know all the technical lingo now guys. A Heifer is a female cow that has yet to have any offspring. They were instantly drawn to my flash equipment and the camera. Cow’s love to lick things and […]
