Wedding photography in Sevenoaks at Darenth Valley Golf Club

Today’s wedding photography in Sevenoaks, was held at a venue which I’d never been to before, Darenth Valley Golf Club. What I was familar with was the family… I went to school with the bride and the best man, which was fab as I hadn’t seen either of them in years. Was great catching up especially as they were brother and sister. Ann was so calm. She was excited I could tell but the nerves were nowhere to be seen. Even when she knew her groom ‘Matt’ hadn’t even left the bestman’s house an hour away with little time to spare! Weather was a little touch and go but when it mattered the sun was out with his hat on. Wedding photography in Sevenoaks at Darenth Valley Golf Club is an intimate venue with an amazing ceremony room up in the rafters. Today’s wedding was the first in the newley purpose built room. It was immaculate, obviously with white chair covers and blue sash. The bridesmaid and flower girl were the bestman’s wife and daughter, Jade the flower girl was such a hoot, she’s going far in life you can tell. Bursting with character. Ceremony went without a glitch with […]

Horsham Wedding photography & Hartsfield Manor

It was an overcast morning but dry… this was Horsham Wedding photography after all, we’re not in the Med, but specifically St John’s Church in Horsham. Lovely church built in 1928 apparently. Hadn’t ever been in there before. Anyway, the groom was soo nervous! It’s expected at such a massive occasion. (I was too on my wedding day). The bride arrived with her dad and they got stuck in. The vowels went without a hitch and before they knew it the rings were on and off they skipped back down the isle. With a few group shots outside with the car waiting, (which had a bubble machine built into the rear of the car) AMAZING!! Next stop was Hartsfield Manor in Betchworth. Been there plenty of times photographing weddings, so I knew the drill. It was however starting to rain. Wedding photographers worst nightmare!! But I had with me my new trusty 5Dm4 which is weather proof, the bride and groom were amazingly relaxed about the rain and for that we managed to grab some beautiful moments between them. Not even the rain could stop these two!! Take a look!   Although a Crawley based photographer, I don’t mind being refered […]

Wedding photography Surrey with Mr&Mrs Martin-Jones

Wow what a day spent at a Surrey National Golf Wedding!! Lovely and warm, the sun shone all day long. Wedding photography commenced at their home address in Surrey with bridal preps, a lovely house with great decoration really helped me out with finding decent backgrounds. The girls were putting away some fizz in the kitchen which quickly slowed down once they’d realised none of them had yet to have breakfast!! A rookie mistake. With the preps covered it was a quick drive to the ceremony address. The nervous groom waited at the top of the isle for the beautiful bride, he waited a little longer due to traffic but was worth it as she beemed down the isle following his footsteps. The ceremony was held at the Leatherhead registry office with the reception afterwards at the Surrey National golf club. We had some amazing fun blasting round the 18th hole on the buggies and the bride had a good laugh pushing the buggie with Luke driving. (Images to follow…) Everyone loved the time to spend with each other socialising and celebrating the newley weds. Cake and first dance followed and they were left partying hard on the dance floor. Wedding at Wotton House Hotel with Mr & Mrs Patel

Just 2 days ago we had a dusting of snow! It was still really cold, but dry thankfully. The couple had the whole day mapped out, things were typically running behind ever so slightly but the atmosphere was electric! Wotton House Hotel… wedding photography at Wotton House Hotel is always a treat for me, there’s an abundance of photographic oppertunities at this wonderful venue. Mel had the ceremony room beautifully decorated and Kalpen was the typical nervous groom. You could just tell. He was surrounded by his wonderful family and friends as the bridesmaids walked down the isle swiftly followed by the bride with her father John. After a few minutes the vowels were exchanged and another happy couple skipped back down the isle. Casual imagery was captured as everyone enjoyed each others company and the canapes and everyone got into the swing of the celbrations. Following this was the formal groups, (got to keep mum happy!), then followed by romantics and finally the food. But… before the food came the speeches, a growing modern twist I find. John, the best men and Kalpen delivered without fault and were very much relieved to sit to enjoy the banquet that awaited. […]

Advantages Of A Christmas Wedding Although spring and summer are the busiest wedding seasons, Christmas can also be the perfect time for a truly romantic and festive wedding. Yet many couples are put off by the idea of a Christmas wedding: they worry about finding a good venue in such a busy period, that friends and family may have other commitments, or that their special day will be overshadowed by Christmas festivities. The truth is that there are many advantages to a Christmas wedding that many couples haven’t considered. Here are just a few of them: The Perfect Theme Organising a wedding, should be fun, yet many brides find it stressful. From choosing the right colour scheme and co-ordinating decorations, flowers and bridesmaid dresses accordingly can be a real headache. Christmas gives you a perfect, ready-made theme. Festive colours such as red, green, gold, white and silver are ideal for a Christmas wedding. Decorations It won’t be difficult finding decorations for your venue. Think berries, snow-sprayed twigs, holly, pine cones and you’ve got the perfect ingredients for table centres. Christmas trees can be decorated to match your chosen colour scheme and it will be far easier to find festive flower […]

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Craigen

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Craigen who got married at Highley Manor. This wedding was a long time coming and you could see the love they have for each other. Emma had a Love Bug for a wedding car, Iain had some amazing tie colours going on, really out there which complimented their personalities and characters. A great day was had, but some hard crazy dancing topped it off. Emma is a dance teacher and certainly threw a few moves around to the DJ set.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Hollands!

This was the long anticipated wedding of 2014! Barney’s known Paul since school (and would class him as one of his closest long standing friends), he’s quite a character and anyone will tell you the same. He has many talents, one of which is song writing. Corinne is a singer, they met one day in a recording studio and hit it off, the rest as they say ‘is history’. (He’s hit the jackpot with Corinne, she’s lovely). Paul’s day started a little bumpy, the cat got out of the house! So at 10am he could be seen running around calling “Monster” taping the pets food bowl. So funny, the best-men and ushers were all in hysterics. Corinne looked amazing, (as we all knew she would), she’s done a fair bit of modelling too so they were well rehearsed with all the poses)! “Bando” as Paul is better known, also loves having his picture taken, and I’ve used him myself in a few commercials for car adverts.  I think you’ll agree they both look amazing in the image below. We hope you and your gorgeous children had a lovely day and wish you all the very best for the future. x […]

Congratulations Gemma & Ryan Jones!

Wow what a scorcher!!   The couple and guests are still partying as I’m typing this. They had a fab day at Gyhll Manor (if a little warm), the sun was blistering, not a cloud in the sky. The ceremony took place out in the summer house, which was a first for me, beautiful surroundings with a pond on the left and flowers in bloom all around. Gemma walked down the isle with her Dad Chris and 2 young brides maids. Ryan was a little nervous but Gemma took it in her stride. The rings went on without a hitch and the knot was tied. Some fab romantics followed the ceremony in the stunning grounds, whilst everyone else tucked into canapes and champagne. Then the couple joined their guests for a short while and the group shots followed. Many drinks later and the food was served, a lovely roast dinner. The cake cutting and first dance was amazing and everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves when I departed, I think I heard ‘Jagerbombs’ as I left. Ha ha.
