Today’s wedding photography in Sevenoaks, was held at a venue which I’d never been to before, Darenth Valley Golf Club.
What I was familar with was the family… I went to school with the bride and the best man, which was fab as I hadn’t seen either of them in years. Was great catching up especially as they were brother and sister.
Ann was so calm. She was excited I could tell but the nerves were nowhere to be seen.
Even when she knew her groom ‘Matt’ hadn’t even left the bestman’s house an hour away with little time to spare!
Weather was a little touch and go but when it mattered the sun was out with his hat on.
Wedding photography in Sevenoaks at Darenth Valley Golf Club is an intimate venue with an amazing ceremony room up in the rafters. Today’s wedding was the first in the newley purpose built room. It was immaculate, obviously with white chair covers and blue sash.
The bridesmaid and flower girl were the bestman’s wife and daughter, Jade the flower girl was such a hoot, she’s going far in life you can tell. Bursting with character.
Ceremony went without a glitch with the bride gazing into the groom’s eyes the whole time and there were smiles all round. We left the ceremony heading back downstairs into the wedding breakfast room which was so beautiful, flowers and favours everywhere.
As it was a full working golf club it’s diffcult to get out on the course, but we had a lovely area outside of the main building to get to work with the couple for some romantic shots.
Personally my highlight today was the milk and cookies that were brought out for the kids. (I’m sucha kid myself, I love milk and cookies, but before long they were all gone).
Scrummy canapes and bucks fizz wisked round the place followed by some formal group shots and casual coverage. I’ve always managed to cover formal and casual photography at weddings. Covers all bases and keeps everyone happy. Bride and grooms love to see everyone enjoying themselves especially afterwards in photos knowing that their guests had a ball.
Wedding breakfast, cake cutting with first dance all zoomed by and I eventually left the guests with their newley weds on the dance floor dancing the night away.
I’d recommend Darenth Valley Golf Club, it’s a fab place to get hitched. If you’ve got the time and transport there is a tiny village together with little bridge and river just about a mile away that could even further enhance the photographic magic.
Here are a few snaps from the day. Oh and the milk and cookies 😉
