Post Lockdown Wedding at East Court

This is my second post lockdown wedding. East Court in East Grinstead was the venue. Today’s wedding was for an old school friend Richard Kinver. I’ve socialised, worked alongside and been a guest at his restaurant. He’s is a chef. A bloody good one too. He currently runs the kitchen at The Star in Lingfield. The day started damp and dark, but I wasn’t worried. I normally bring the sun with me and this was no different! Photography is finally begining to take off again. Since the Covid lockdown in the UK, events such as weddings have been greatly effected. Guest numbers are still very low. My first wedding last week had just 14 guests. This wedding conformed to the latest government guideline numbers of below 30. Obviously all the usual precautions were in place. At East Court in East Grinstead, they check every guests temperature prior to entering. Hand sanitiser was readily avaliable and used in abundance. However before we got to the ceremony, there were bridal preperations to be covered. On entering the home, everyone was so happy. Kasia was having her make up applied and the dress was hanging. Flowers were sitting in water ready for the […]

South Lodge Wedding

South Lodge Wedding …. this place!! Wow. So this wasn’t my first time shooting at this fantatsic venue, but we’ll come back to the venue inĀ  amoment. Mid week, a Wednesday, yep that’s right, it’s becoming very popular to get married mid week these days. I love it. This was the wedding of the beautiful Lucy & Ashleigh. What a great couple, very down to earth, up for a giggle. It came across vividly in the photos, which I adore. The day started off at Lucy’s family home in Haywards Heath. Greeted with smiley faces and to my suprise everyone was so calm. Letting the bride know things are under control always seems to help. However I didn’t need to. Tom, (Lucy’s lad), was such a great help, nothing was too much trouble and being taller than myself enabled us to manover the wedding dress to heights I couldn’t reach for photos. Cheers Tom! The whole family were so relaxed. Make up and hair was under way. I fell into a nice relaxing environment, knowing the makeup artist had things chill. Starting with details of the preps, following with some wedding portrait photography and overalls. Always good to get the […]

Wedding Photography at Hampton Court

Wedding Photography at Hampton Court, what a result! With the sun shining I knew this was going to be a great event. Ever been to Hampton Court, it’s a very picturesque town, very similar to Richmond and Henley on Thames. Hampton Court has the river Thames running through it, and the hotel was smack bang on the river. We arrived at Emma’s parents place in Raynes Park, 5 minutes down the road from where it was all kicking off, she was very calm. The dress was hanging up and makeup was being applied. The girls were drinking fizz and everything was great. Starting with photography of the dress, flowers and other details. Sneeking a few images on the side whilst key moments happened. That’s what I’m all about, the documentary natural approach. Everyone loves this style of unobtrusive photography. The dress was next to go on, whilst Dad popped on his socks! A few snaps of the fam and we were off to see Ben at the church. Now, Ben is a very calm, chilled young man, but as we arrived it was clear to see Ben was slightly nervous. To the extent he didn’t see me at first. We […]

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Berkley

Barney went to school with Lisa, when she got in contact we knew we had to photograph her UK blessing. Lisa & Roland got married in Italy and wanted something special back in the UK for all their friends and family to experience with them. They had their blessing in a big church at Chiswick. A lovely church. Which followed onto a local hotel, where they had a fabulous buffet and danced the night away. Here is a little taster of the evening and how much these lovely people care for one another. Congratulations guys x x
