West Sussex wedding photography at Ghyll Manor

I love staying local, especially in West Sussex, it’s a beautiful part of the south, wedding photography at Ghyll Manor is quite unique. It’s a really beautifully set location with an old manor house and extensive grounds leading down to a gorgeous lake with lilly pads. Recent years of ever increasing popularity lead to the construction of the newer part of this venue which not only gives a great party but also accomodates guests over night. Yesterday was the amazing wedding of Claire and Dean. I’ve known them both for many years and grew up in the same area, went to the same schools and occasionally ‘knocked about’ in similar cirlces of friends, which meant I knew a fair number of the guests which instantly helps when capturing the natural essence of the day. I tend to blend in as best I can with the guests to be as unobtrusive as possible, producing some unstaged moments that the couple can treasure. It was a warm close weather type of day, which can be uncomfortable sometimes in suits, I felt for the guys in the 3 peices but it didn’t distract from the day. Everyone was easy going and up for […]

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Cooper

Something told me Hannah wasn’t too keen on Lea’s choice of wedding cars?!   In all honesty, the day was a blast, the sun was out, it was warm and everyone was calm, (not your usual wedding). So I arrived to find Hannah with a glass of fizz, chilled as a cucumber, snapped a few images and made my way to a nervous groom. He even had a little tear at the alter. The bridal car was infact a big old bus, but the boys arrived with cigars and shotguns. Bruce & Joel the best men were a little tired of the A Team theme by the time they got to Ghyll Manor lol. Have a great day guys and congratulations again!!

Congratulations Gemma & Ryan Jones!

Wow what a scorcher!!   The couple and guests are still partying as I’m typing this. They had a fab day at Gyhll Manor (if a little warm), the sun was blistering, not a cloud in the sky. The ceremony took place out in the summer house, which was a first for me, beautiful surroundings with a pond on the left and flowers in bloom all around. Gemma walked down the isle with her Dad Chris and 2 young brides maids. Ryan was a little nervous but Gemma took it in her stride. The rings went on without a hitch and the knot was tied. Some fab romantics followed the ceremony in the stunning grounds, whilst everyone else tucked into canapes and champagne. Then the couple joined their guests for a short while and the group shots followed. Many drinks later and the food was served, a lovely roast dinner. The cake cutting and first dance was amazing and everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves when I departed, I think I heard ‘Jagerbombs’ as I left. Ha ha.
