Yesterday’s cracking wedding went down at Southdowns Manor in Petersfield with Ellie and Ashley. https://www.southdownsmanor.co.uk/ Incredible weather started the day off and on arrival it was apparent that this was gonna be a hot one! It was warm, it was only 10:30! Ellie and the girls were up in the hotel getting hair and make up done, Anna Hardiment was the MUA today and you can find her on Insta ‘@annahardimentmua’. The flowers arrived and the most amazing wedding dress hung beautifully. The flowers were a wonderful tone to match the bridesmaids dresses. There was a buzz of excitement in the air and you could feel it as soon as you entered the room. Yesterday I spent the day photographing a special Stanhill Court Hotel Wedding with Marie & John. https://www.stanhillcourthotel.co.uk/ This was going to be a fantastic wedding, I knew from when the couple asked me. Over the years I’ve had the privilege to capture the families portraits, not just Marie & John’s, but Jo, Maxine’s and Toni’s too! The weather looked promising. I arrived at Stanhill Court which 5 years ago was revamped and is a fab place to get married at. With an all in one venue it was a party from the outset. Bridal preprations took place in one of the fourposter bedrooms. The girls were excited upon my arrival. Marie the bride was a calm figure in a room full of wedding decoration. Hair and make up was being applied and with six bridesmaids, 3 flower girls and mum’s too the room was a buzz with excitement and anticipation for the day ahead. Another longly anticipated wedding yesterday at Highley Manor with Lucy and Russell. What an Amazing day! https://www.highleymanor.co.uk The weather was looking great, warm and slightly overcast. Perfect for wedding photography. I arrived at Highley Manor to cover ceremony to wedding breakfast. The guests were arriving and getting drinks. The groomsmen were dashing around making sure guests were kept topped up. You could feel the build up and excitment growing the closer it got to the big event. After popping up to see Russell I captured a few mingling shots and social coverage. Laughter and smiles filled the room. Russell had a few minutes spare so we did a few shots of him with the groomsmen. Bobby was the ring bearer, so again  a few shots with him. A long awaited wedding took place yesterday, at Cottesmore Golf and Country Club Wedding with Zoe and Lee. Cottesmore After the Covid Pandemic restrictions finally lifted, Zoe and Lee had the opportunity to show their family and friends the love they have for each other at this beautiful venue in West Sussex. Originally, the couple had planned for their big day 2 years ago at another venue which unfortunatley now is no more. ‘Every cloud has a silver lining’, as Cottesmore provided an abundance of beauty and oppertunity for the couple to celebrate and enjoy their family and friends company. The day kicked off with Zoe getting ready round her friend and Bridesmaid’s home adress. Laura had decorated her home with balloons, confetti, food and drinks, it was a great setting for the bridal preparations. Melissa Lilly Sharp was the make up artist, she’s a renowned professional with an astonishing reputation. I’ve worked with Melissa before and she’s simply amazing. This post has been eagerly anticipated…Gildings Barns wedding with Louisa and Toby. Yesterday’s wedding was a big deal for me. Louisa is a long term friend and my go to make up artist that I’ve used for many many years now. She’s the best. I also know her dad very well too, he’s also a great friend. The pressure was on! When Lou told me she was getting married, I was so pleased. Toby is a lovely friendly bloke who you can tell adores Louisa. He’s a ‘strapping lad’ but very chilled and easy going. These guys are like two peas in a pod as Lou is also a very relaxed individual. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her get in a fizz. Nothing’s a problem for her. A long time coming, the Weller Wedding at The Crowne Plaza Hotel Felbridge, here we go… Crowne Plaza Felbridge Neil & Leanne came to me back in 2018 regarding their original wedding date for 2020. The pandemic hit and everything went out the window so to speak. Poor things put their wedding off twice and thrid time lucky it went without a hitch! ‘Nelly’ as many know Neil, is a long time family friend of mine. As children we grew up across the road from each other. We’d play in the street and help each other when we needed it. Like a family member. Neil is a fantastic lad, a gentleman with his heart on his sleeve. He’d do anything for you, and Leanne struck gold with him. They now have 2 fantastic children and you can sense the family love straight away. As soon as Neil was brave enough to ask Leanne to marry him I always hoped he’d ask me to photograph his wedding. New Year Wedding at The Barn

This was my first wedding of 2022, which took place @TheBarn. An award winning venue, it was very beautiful. Set in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, with it’s own little private courtyard. It was touch and go for some time throughout the Christmas period leading up to new year. Abby & Stu were on tender hooks, as the Prime Minister laid out the restrictions for large group gatherings and what would be allowed regarding the pandemic. With the new Covid variant nobody could predict the new year. I think it’s fair to say, not even Omnicom couldn’t stop them! So the day began a little damp and the theme was set for the day so it seemed, with light drizzle forcast for the entire day. Hey, it’s January after all, and the UK is always a little unpredicable for it’s weather. This wasn’t going to slow these two down. Stu and the groomsman waited at the venue for Abby’s arrival. This is my second post lockdown wedding. East Court in East Grinstead was the venue. Today’s wedding was for an old school friend Richard Kinver. I’ve socialised, worked alongside and been a guest at his restaurant. He’s is a chef. A bloody good one too. He currently runs the kitchen at The Star in Lingfield. The day started damp and dark, but I wasn’t worried. I normally bring the sun with me and this was no different! Photography is finally begining to take off again. Since the Covid lockdown in the UK, events such as weddings have been greatly effected. Guest numbers are still very low. My first wedding last week had just 14 guests. This wedding conformed to the latest government guideline numbers of below 30. Obviously all the usual precautions were in place. At East Court in East Grinstead, they check every guests temperature prior to entering. Hand sanitiser was readily avaliable and used in abundance. I recently was asked to cover a wedding for a neighbour of mine. He’s become more of a friend of recent. He’s a bloody good bloke. Barney Warner Photography covered this wedding today not just still wedding photography but wedding video as well. Not my first time shooting here. I did a wedding video there not so long ago too. Fab place. The entire day was held here, from bridal preps with Karen, through to first dance, the whole day. South Lodge Wedding …. this place!! Wow. So this wasn’t my first time shooting at this fantatsic venue, but we’ll come back to the venue in  amoment. Mid week, a Wednesday, yep that’s right, it’s becoming very popular to get married mid week these days. I love it. This was the wedding of the beautiful Lucy & Ashleigh. What a great couple, very down to earth, up for a giggle. It came across vividly in the photos, which I adore. The day started off at Lucy’s family home in Haywards Heath. Greeted with smiley faces and to my suprise everyone was so calm. Letting the bride know things are under control always seems to help. However I didn’t need to. Tom, (Lucy’s lad), was such a great help, nothing was too much trouble and being taller than myself enabled us to manover the wedding dress to heights I couldn’t reach for photos. Cheers Tom! The whole family were so relaxed. Make up and hair was under way. I fell into a nice relaxing environment, knowing the makeup artist had things chill.
